About Us

Istari started playing FFXIV when it relaunched as A Realm Reborn and fell in love with the community almost instantly! He started The Black Waltz Free Company in 2014 with the purpose of creating a safe, warm place for people to play the game. His favourite job is Black Mage and he spends most of his time helping others. If he's not helping someone, you'll find him either raiding, helping someone, or doing events with the Free Company.

Fratley primarily focuses on high-end raiding in FFXIV, so while she may be online a lot she is oftentimes locked in an instance with a big baddie! Fratley joined Waltz in 2019  and loves the helping nature of the FC, which is what has kept her around for so long. Fratley prides herself on being both a combat and crafting mentor, knowing enough of the basics of all the classes to assist anyone with job-related questions or rotations, including crafting rotations. Current goals include finishing the Triple Triad collection and completing the 3,000 mentor roulette achievement.

Brock started his FFXIV journey in 2015 and joined The Black Waltz in 2019, shortly after the release of Shadowbringers. You'll find him cracking jokes and skulls in Savage raids, searching for treasure and running roulettes with the FC, and spending way too much time piecing together glamour for taking gposes. Brock is also an avid fighting game player who organizes Waltz's non-FFXIV game nights and contributes to the newsletter. Fashionable Roe spouses in game and fashionable regular-sized spouses IRL, Kellin & Kouya started playing shortly after ARR was released and joined the FC in 2015. Kouya doesn’t play very much nowadays, but you’ll probably see Kellin on at odd times of day due to them both living in SW Japan. Kouya is a working digital artist and designer  - she hosts and manages the print-on-demand Waltz Merch Shop.  Kellin is an EFL public school teacher and looks for any opportunity to use his voice. He talks too much. He started The Who’s That Waltz and Waltz Riders casual/social events because he believes we are #bettertogether.  They are looking forward to seeing you at the next FC community event!

Heyo! I'm Rhelys Infinis! You'll also see people call me Rhel pretty frequently, either is fine! I've been playing XIV since 2013 and I joined the Waltz family in early 2021. Most of my time in-game is spent either crafting, helping with random odd jobs in the FC or raiding in Savage/Ultimate content. I'm also a huge fan of numbers and spreadsheets for just about anything in the game. If you ever want or need help or just have questions about stuff, feel free to give me a shout!

Indigo joined FF14 during the summer of 2021 and found her home in Waltz shortly thereafter.  If she isn't hanging out in the yard or doing events with her Waltz family, she's probably farming in the wild or raiding with her static. They're shy, but don't be afraid to say, "hello!"  She's also working on being the most active AFK champion, so sometimes it's easier to reach her on discord.
