We recently polled the Free Company for ideas of games that we could all play together that would be fun and help further strengthen our wonderful community. The top requested game was "Among Us," and so let's play! In order to play this game, you will need a copy of "Among Us" - you can get it for free on your Mobile Phone or Steam for a very low cost.

On Saturday, November 28th, 2020 at 8:00pm EST you are invited to the 4th Bi-Annual Eorzean Circuit Footrace where you can compete head-to-head against your fellow Waltzes in a race to the finish line!
This will be no easy feat to accomplish! Participants must enter the race on a job that is below level 10. If that seems a little too easy, you’ve thought correctly! The races will take place in high-level areas where enemies could easily knock you out of the race. If you thought speed was your strength - you must also consider stealth and caution in order to avoid enemies!
Race courses will be announced on the day of the event. Some of the courses will have a checkpoint that each team must pass before proceeding to the finish line (a volunteer, non-racing participant will be at the checkpoint to ensure each team passes by). Tracks could be in any zones from the A Realm Reborn, Heavensward, or Stormblood expansions. Please have all these zones unlocked if you wish to participate! Having flight in these zones is not required - we will be able to taxi you to the starting point of each race.
Each racer will be paired up with a high-level healer or RDM who will be able to bring them back into the race using Raise, Resurrection, Verraise or Ascend. Swiftcast, Lightspeed, and Dualcast buffs are not allowed when raising a fallen teammate - these spells must be slow-casted.
Please Note: "Raisers" are not allowed to interfere with the race in any way - their sole purpose is to raise their fallen teammate back into the race. This includes: killing enemies, redirecting enemy enmity via heals or skills, running ahead of their partner and "clearing the path," etc.
If you are in the lead and die from an enemy, you may still have a chance - your partner will be running alongside to raise you! The first-place team of each race will receive 20 points per race, the second-place team will receive 15 points per race, and third-place will receive 10 points. Everyone else will receive 5 points. The team with the highest score at the end of the races will win the grand prize!
If you would like to participate, please sign up by letting Istari Xiomar know. If you don’t have a job below level 5, you can still participate as a raising partner! Or, if neither of these are for you and you still want to volunteer to help, we need referees to ensure players are abiding by the rules! If you would like to participate in any way mentioned, please let me know!
**Note: Due to latency, the winner(s) are determined by which team crosses the finish line on Istari Xiomar's screen first - races will be recorded for any disputes.
Beginning on Sunday, May 3 and continuing every other Sunday from then on, we will be hosting a biweekly event where our Free Company Members can get to know each others' sense of humour and laugh with each other. During these events, the event coordinator will provide games from the "Jackbox Party Pack" series for participants to join and have fun. These games range from a variety of types including Trivia. This event started as an idea from one of our members, Jak! Now it is finally coming into fruition!
Note: We want you to be yourself! As such, some peoples' sense of humour may be more on the adult side, so we will be stamping this event with an 18+ disclaimer. However, if you are participating it should be noted dark humour / taboo subjects are not allowed in this event and the guidelines of Respect outlined in our Free Company Charter must be followed.
This event is meant to help get to know our community on a more humourous and fun level. To participate, you will need access to Discord (to view the game hosts' stream and participate), and an additional device with an internet browser available on it. A tablet, smartphone, computer, or PS4 browser all work for this!
How does it work?
After a game is chosen, the Game Host will Stream the game from their computer. Participants will then view the stream, and, using the website and code provided by the game, they will access their internet browsers and connect to the game. Whichever devices' browser is used to connect to the game will become the participant's buzzer / answer input device / score sheet.
Rules for each game are broadcast during the beginning of each game. Bringing wine, alcohol, or snacks is encourage! Please be ready to laugh!
